Case summary

A resident of Krivoy Rog. Since May of 2020, he served in the Aidar battalion. On 18th of July, 2020, he was detained by the people's militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic. Then it was reported that he announced his intention to switch and fight for the side of the DNR. What happened to him immediately afterwards is unknown, but in April of 2023, a criminal case for forcible seizure of power, participation in the activities of a terrorist organization and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities was brought to the military court in Rostov region against him. On the 5th of March, 2024, Skidan was sentenced to 18 years in a strict regime penal colony.
