Case summary

Resident of Petrozavodsk. On 20 August 2024, she was detained in a case of a call for carrying out terrorist activities, which was initiated because of three comments in the Telegram channel "Solovinyi pomet", in which Smirnova suggested donating to the AFU and setting fire to military recruitment offices. The next day she was taken into custody.

In October, she was also charged with calling for activities against the security of the Russian Federation. Two of the three comments that led to Smirnova's indictment under the first article became the reason.

In June 2025, she was released from the pre-trial detention centre on her own recognisance. After that, she left Russia.
