Full wording of the charges
According to the prosecution's version, in March 2022, Sorokin published on his wall "Memo on defection", which was regarded as call to extremism. The article on "fakes" was imputed to him because of the publication in May 2022 of a post from a "third-party resource" beginning with the words "After yesterday's massive bombardment". In another 11 publications from May 2022 to August 2023, the prosecution found justification of terrorism - they refer to Ukrainian military formations: "Azov", "Russian Volunteer Corps", and the legion "Freedom for Russia". They were not read out in full in the public hearings; only the first words were quoted.

Loader from St. Petersburg, originally from the settlement of Gadzhievo, Murmansk Region. In April 2024, he was detained in a case of deliberately spreading false information about the Russian Armed Forces, calls for extremism, and justification of terrorism because of his posts on social networks about the war in Ukraine. On 25 April, the man was taken into custody.
The charge of military "fakes" was related to a post that began with the words "After yesterday's massive bombardment"; calls to extremism were imputed to Sorokin because of the post with the "Memo on desertion" and justification of terrorism because of posts about the activities of the Azov regiment, the Russian Volunteer Corps, and the Freedom of Russia Legion.
On 17 October 2025, Sorokin was sentenced to eight years in a general regime colony.
