Case summary

A resident of Teykovo (Ivanovo region). On April 11, 2020, a search was conducted at Spivak’s home. A case was initiated against him for organizing the activities of an extremist organization due to his involvement with the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Representatives of this community are prosecuted under extremist charges solely for their religious activities, such as holding meetings, worship services, and attracting new followers. Spivak was given a recognizance not to leave. On February 29, 2024, he was sentenced to a 600,000 ruble fine.
