Full wording of the charges
According to the investigation, on 4 June 2023, the man made inscriptions on buildings and bus stops in support of the FBK and Navalny's headquarters, previously banned as extremist organisations. Local TV channel First Yaroslavsky published a video with the confession of a man who, stammering, claims that on 4 June, having watched a video in support of Navalny, made inscriptions, in his words, "like 'no war' and 'freedom for political prisoners'". At the same time, the video with his confession was accompanied by a photo of the inscription "Putin is a murderer", which apparently was mentioned by a young man in another video. It follows from the report of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Yaroslavl region that the persecuted person also put inscriptions on a model of an artillery unit on 29 April 2023, while other reports indicate that these inscriptions were made by another young man born in 2000. In addition, the IC report only mentions the charge of participation in the activities of an extremist organisation.

Full summary
A resident of Rybinsk, a city situated along the Volga River, appeared in a video broadcasted by the "First Yaroslavsky" TV channel. In the video, the man, who stutters, confesses that on June 4, 2023, after watching a video supporting Alexei Navalny, he wrote messages such as "no war" and "freedom to political prisoners." The accompanying photo shows the inscription "Putin is a murderer," which was apparently mentioned by another young man in a separate video. Streknev was then apprehended and later transferred to Moscow.
On 15 February 2024, a court in Rybinsk sentenced him to three and a half years in a general regime penal colony. The charge was reclassified from participation in the activities of an extremist organization to participation in the activities of an extremist community (part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code).
