Case summary

A resident of Astrakhan. Retired person of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was deputy chairman of the Council of Regional Veterans and Municipalities of the Astrakhan region, in the 1990s he headed the control and revision department of the regional Department of Internal Affairs and headed the non-profit partnership "New Day". A vandalism case was initiated against him because of three anti-war inscriptions on the facades of several houses. On 22 August 2023, Strubalin was sentenced to three years of restricted liberty.
