Case summary

A resident of the Temryuksky District, Krasnodar Krai. A case was brought against him for spreading deliberately false information about the Russian Armed Forces. On 9 September 2025, the court dismissed the case due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for criminal prosecution. He was also prosecuted for calls to terrorism: according to the investigation, he published a post addressed to Putin, which contained calls for "an attempt on the life of political and state figures of the Russian Federation". On 13 January 2026 Sysoyev was sentenced in this case to five years in a general regime colony. The case was heard by the Temryuksky district court, despite the fact that by law the district military courts have jurisdiction over cases under the relevant article.
