A native of the Krasnoyarsk region. In 2017 he was sentenced in Moscow in a murder case and was serving his sentence in his native region. On 8 April 2025 Taigin was sentenced in the first of these two cases, and on 27 August in the second. Taking into account the term in the original case, he was sentenced in total to 14 years in a strict regime penal colony.
