Case summary
Resident of Sakhalin Oblast. On April 3rd, 2024, he was searched at his home and then taken for questioning to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, where he was charged with participation and recruitment in the activity of an extremist organisation due to his involvement in the Jehovah's Witnesses community. Members of this community are prosecuted under extremist articles solely for religious activities: meetings, communal prayers, and recruiting new followers. On February 28th, 2025, Daler was sentenced to six years in a general regime colony.
