According to politzek.org, the grounds for the prosecution was a video published on Telegram, in which Trofimtsev recalls the “events” in the Belgorod region and says that “our people have started to liberate their own territories from Putin’s bastards” and appeals to the citizens of Kazakhstan: “Astrakhan is an ancestral Kazakh land. Take this opportunity to free it from the fascist power of Putin, who has ruined all our lands, who has done everything to make the elderly, children and just people live in utter shit.” According to the version of the investigation, in this video Trofimtsev justified the actions of the “RDK” and the Freedom of Russia Legion in the Belgorod region and called on residents of Kazakhstan to carry out terrorist attacks in the territory of the Russian Federation.
