According to the investigators, in September 2024, while within the territory of Ukraine, he joined the Crimean Tatar Volunteer Battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan and "in order to carry out terrorist activities, he was trained at the AFU training centre in Odessa region of Ukraine". Then he "took part in combat operations against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic until October 2024".
