According to the investigation, while on the territory of Ukraine, he voluntarily agreed to become a member of the battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan, performed duty at checkpoints on the state border between Ukraine and the Russian Federation to check citizens and vehicles, digging trenches, and also performed household chores. Full summary
Resident of Genicheskiy district, Kherson region (Ukraine). On 27 May 2022, it became known that unknown persons abducted him and took him to Crimea, where he was taken into custody. He was accused of participating in the activities of an illegal armed formation, namely the "Noman Chelebidzhikhan Battalion", which at that time had apparently been dormant for a long time. On 10 November 2022, Umerov was sentenced to six years in a strict regime colony.
