Case summary
Resident of Syktyvkar. On 2 March 2021, his home was searched and he was given a recognisance not to leave as part of the case of organising activities of an extremist organisation. On 9 June 2022, the court returned the case to the prosecutor's office. On 17 January 2023, the case was retried by the Syktyvkar City Court. In August 2023, Sergei Ushakhin was hospitalised in a cardiac centre and died shortly afterwards. On 22 December 2025, more than two years after his death, he was sentenced to a fine of 500,000 roubles and released from punishment due to his death.
