Case summary
Theatre director, activist. Previously, he participated in protest actions organised by Navalny's headquarters and was brought to administrative responsibility under the article on violation of the rules of holding public events. In particular, Valeev was arrested for three days under the article on organising an uncoordinated event (part 2 of article 20.2 of the CAO) because of his call to go out to an anti-war rally on 2 April 2022. In 2023, a case of public justification of terrorism was brought against Valeev because of several posts. On 18 December 2023, he was sentenced to a fine of 360 thousand rubles. A case of incitement to hatred was also brought against Valeev.
