Case summary
A Ukrainian serviceman. He was captured, according to official reports, on 8 November 2024. A case was opened against him for participating in the activities of a terrorist organisation in connection with his involvement in the Krymskotatarskyi Volunteer Battalion named after Noman Çelebicihan, operating as a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On 22 May 2025, Varchuk was sentenced to 20 years in a high-security penal colony.
