Case summary

A resident of Cherepovets. On 30 August 2023, he was detained on his way out of his home. According to Vishnyakov, after the brutal detention he had abrasions on his limbs. On 21 September, he was detained again and placed in a temporary detention centre for 24 hours pending trial for public justification of terrorism. The investigation demanded to send Vishnyakov to a pre-trial detention centre, but the judge refused, leaving the man free. Later Vishnyakov was made a witness in the case of Igor Shchenkov from Vologda, who was charged under the same article. Vishnyakov managed to leave Russia despite his passport being seized. He was put on a wanted list.
