Case summary
St. Petersburg municipal deputy. In March 2022, he was searched as part of a case of false bomb message (Art. 207 of the Criminal Code, see below). After that, Volokhonsky left Russia. In November 2023, it became known that Volokhonsky was prosecuted for spreading "fakes", repeated discrediting of the Armed Forces (part 1 of article 280.3 of the Criminal Code) and public justification of terrorism (part 2 of article 205.2 of the Criminal Code).
On 21 June 2024, Volokhonsky was recognised as a "foreign agent".
