The case against Voronovsky was initiated because of his comment on a photo of Mikhail Zhlobitsky published on "VKontakte", who committed a suicide bombing in the building of the Arkhangelsk region's FSB. The comment called Zhlobitsky a "hero". Voronovsky handed his grandmother a letter in which he claims he did not leave the comment. "They want to declare me a terrorist because of someone else's comment," he wrote.

Житель Магнитогорска. Был активистом движения «СтопХам». 31 марта 2022 года Вороновского взяли под стражу в рамках дела об оправдании терроризма. Дело возбудили из-за комментария к опубликованной во «ВКонтакте» фотографии Михаила Жлобицкого, совершившего самоподрыв в здании УФСБ по Архангельской области. В комментарии Жлобицкого называют «героем». Сам Вороновский утверждает, что не писал этот текст. Бабушка Вороновского связывает уголовное дело с давлением, которое на него оказывали в вузе в связи с акциями «СтопХам». 22 февраля 2023 года суд постановил отправить Вороновского на бессрочное принудительное психиатрическое лечение. 4 декабря 2023 года Вороновского исключили из Перечня экстремистов и террористов Росфинмониторинга.
