Case summary
A Ukrainian serviceman, presumed to have been captured in January 2025, was charged with participation in a terrorist organisation and undergoing training for the purpose of carrying out terrorist activities, due to his alleged involvement with the Noman Chelebidzhikhan Assault Battalion. The case went to trial in June 2025, and on 22 August 2025 Yatskov was sentenced to 20 years in a strict-regime penal colony.
