Case summary

A resident of Samara. On 11 September 2024, a search took place at his home. Iushkov claims that he was beaten. A case of public justification of terrorism was opened against him because of his comment that appeared to be an endorsement of the activities of the Freedom of Russia Legion. Iushkov gave a recognisance not to leave. He was able to leave Russia, after which he was put on a wanted list. After Iushkov's departure, his mother was questioned twice by the FSB, and her home was searched. On 4 December 2024, law enforcers checked the contents of the woman's smartphone and demanded that she not communicate with her son. Iushkov requested political asylum in France.
