A resident of Almetyevsk, Tatarstan. He was detained on 17 October 2017 and formally arrested the following day, accused of involvement in a terrorist organisation due to alleged ties to the Islamist party Hizb ut-Tahrir. He was also charged with recruitment or incitement to commit a criminal offence.
On 26 April 2019, he was sentenced to 13 years in a strict-regime penal colony.
