Case summary

On 24 April 2014, Olga Zaletskaya's flat was searched as part of a case of fraud in connection with the sale of the Petrozavodsk school catering plant building; on 25 March 2015, she was detained and placed in pre-trial detention; after her arrest, Tatyana Inozemtseva, head of the guardianship department of the Ministry of Education of Karelia, asked the city guardianship department of Petrozavodsk "why Zaletskaya's children have not yet been placed in an orphanage"; on 6 April, Zaletskaya was placed under house arrest; on 27 July, she was released on bail of one million rubles.

On 25 August, she was sentenced to four years' suspended sentence with a probation period of five years and a fine of 500,000 rubles.
