Case summary
A resident of Novosibirsk. According to the FSB, he remained outside of Russia from 2022 to 2025 to "evade mobilization." The agency also claims that Zavodskii was a member of Memorial. On 9 February 2026, he was detained, and the following day he was remanded in custody on charges of public justification of terrorism. The prosecution was triggered by a comment in support of the Russian Volunteer Corps.
