Case summary
A resident of Rostov-on-Don, born in Zhitomir, Ukraine. On 29 March 2023, he was fined 10.000 rubles on charges of humiliating representatives of the authorities (Article 20.3.1 of the Code of Administrative Offences). Later it became known that a case of public justification of terrorism and calls to extremism had been opened against Zaiats for leaving comments in "VKontakte" social media, in which he "called for a violent change of power of the Russian Federation". On 31 October 2023, a verdict was handed down, details are unknown.
