Case summary
An Ukrainian serviceman. He was captured on 18 May 2022 during the battle for Azovstal. On 29 July 2022, he was badly injured in an explosion at the Yelenovka penal colony (occupied territory of Donetsk region of Ukraine). No later than July 2024, he was sentenced to 25 years in a strict regime colony, apparently on war crimes charges. In addition, a case was initiated against him for participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation due to his involvement in the activities of the Azov battalion. In September 2025, the case went to court.
