Case summary
No later than April 2019 it became known that Timofei Zhukov was a suspect in a case of activities of an extremist organization.
On February 5, 2020 Zhukov was detained. Before that the court ruled that Zhukov should undergo a psychiatric examination but Zhukov challenged the ruling so at the time of detention it had not entered into force. Nevertheless, Zhukov remained in a psychiatric hospital in Yekaterinburg until February 19.
On October 19, 2021 Zhukov was awarded compensation of 28 and a half thousand rubles for illegal placement in a psychiatric hospital.
On December 5, 2023 he was sentenced to seven years of suspended sentence.
