Case summary

Akhimov was a witness in the "Second St. Petersburg case of Hizb ut-Tahrir". He tried to apply for political asylum in Sweden. In June 2017, Akhimov was arrested under the charges of involvement in a terrorist organisation. On 26 July 2018, he was sentenced to five years in a general regime colony. He was released in June 2022.
