Case summary

Political technologist, in the past has repeatedly run for various assemblies of Udmurtia. He has been out of Russia since 2022.

In early February 2024, appealed to the Investigative Committee in connection with Vladimir Putin's statements in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson. In it, the President said that the Poles "played games and forced Hitler to start the Second World War". Antonov saw Putin's words as rehabilitating Nazism. Later that month Antonov was fined under the article on participation in the activities of an "undesirable organisation" (Article 20.33 of the Code of Administrative Offences) because of his association with the organisation "Congress of People's Deputies".

In March 2024, it became known that his involvement in the same organisation had already given rise to a criminal case for participation in the activities of a terrorist community.

On 21 June 2024, Antonov was recognised as a "foreign agent".
