Case summary
Resident of Moscow. Detained and taken into custody on 19 February 2020 on charges of involvement in the activities of an extremist organisation in connection with involvement in the activities of the Islamic movement "Tablighi Jamaat". His adherents are persecuted solely because of their religious activities. On 7 July 2021, he was sentenced to three and a half years in a general regime colony. On 4 October 2022, he was released, after which he was detained and later allegedly deported from the country.
