Case summary

On 13 April 2016, detained together with two other people after being summoned for questioning, charged with involvement in a terrorist organisation and incitement to hatred. On 22 February 2017, he was sentenced to a six-year suspended sentence and released from custody. On 27 July, the Supreme Court replaced the suspended sentence with a real one in response to the prosecutor's office's demand to toughen the punishment. Bagaveev did not appear at the announcement of the verdict.
