Case summary
On 25 March 2016, arrested on charges of involvement in a terrorist organisation and incitement to hatred. On 22 February 2017, he was sentenced to a five-year suspended sentence and released from custody. On 27 July, the Supreme Court replaced the suspended sentence with a real one in response to the prosecutor's office's request to toughen the punishment. Shamsutdinov did not appear at the announcement of the verdict. In April 2018, he was detained in Odessa, but the court refused to arrest him. In October, Shamsutdinov was detained in Lviv.
