Case summary
He was detained on July 7, 2020, and taken into custody the following day on charges of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization. On February 11, 2022, he was sentenced to 11 years in a strict-regime prison colony. In December 2023, Bektemirov reported that he was beaten upon arrival at the colony.
