Case summary

A resident of Yaroslavl, an activist of E.V. Limonov's Other Russia party. In the early morning of 1 April 2026, he was detained. The next day it became known that a case of repeated violation of the order of holding public events was brought against him. Before that, the article was last applied in 2022. What became the reason for the initiation of the case is unknown. In the evening of 2 April, the court in closed mode elected a measure of restraint in the form of a ban on certain actions to the activist. In order to initiate a case under this article, it is necessary to have three effective decisions under the administrative article on violation of the order of holding public events (Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offences) within six months, while Bitov could find only two such decisions.
