Case summary

Resident of Voronezh. On 14 October 2023, he was detained on charges of attempted illegal border crossing. He was taken into custody. On 21 November 2023, the court returned the case to the prosecutor's office, considering that Bobretsov had committed a more serious crime, namely, intending to go to the enemy's side - to fight as part of the Freedom of Russia Legion. The prosecutor appealed the decision, saying that there was no evidence of Bobretsov's involvement in the Legion. However, the decision came into force. Bobretsov was then also charged with participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation and attempted treason. No later than October 2024, he was sentenced to ten years in a strict regime colony.
