Case summary

A resident of Makhachkala. A case was brought against her for desecration of symbols of military glory in connection with brewing coffee on the eternal flame. On 28 May 2024, she was sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence. On 13 August 2024, the court of appeal overturned the sentence due to the fact that it had been handed down by a district court and not by the Supreme Court of Dagestan, as required by the law. On 4 March 2025, when the case was retried, Chunkova was given a one-year suspended sentence. This sentence was also cancelled by the court of appeal. On 17 November 2025, Alieva was sentenced to a fine of two million rubles.
