Ruslan Dzeitov

On 2 May 2019,was detained on suspicion of involvement in the attack on police officers during a rally against the transfer of land to Chechnya on 27 March. On 4 May, sent to a pre-trial detention centre in Nalchik. On 28 February 2020, he was sentenced to a year and nine months in a penal colony. In April he was released on his own recognisance. On 22 April, the court of appeal replaced the place where the sentence was served with the ordinary regime colony; Dzeitov was sent to the pre-trial detention centre. On 25 June, the court of cassation returned the case to the court of appeal. On 6 August, the court of appeal again ruled to change the place of serving the sentence to a general regime colony. The same day Dzeitov was released from custody due to serving his sentence.
