Case summary

A resident of Bashkortostan. On 23 January 2024, he was detained at home. On 25 January, he was remanded in custody within the framework of a case on participation in mass riots, initiated in connection with a public gathering in Baymak on 17 January in support of activist Fail Alsynov. On 7 February 2025, Akhmetshin was sentenced to four and a half years in a general-regime penal colony. On 29 December 2025, the court replaced the remainder of the sentence with a more lenient punishment.
