Case summary

Resident of St. Petersburg. In July 2022, the FSB reported that he had been detained in Crimea and that he was suspected of attempting to "join an illegal armed formation on the territory of Ukraine". A case of attempted participation in an illegal armed formation was opened against him. It was also reported that he was accused of preparing to participate in an illegal armed formation, presumably the "Freedom of Russia" legion. However, a case of preparation for high treason was brought to court. On 17 February 2023, Yevgrafov was sentenced, details unknown. On 22 May 2023, the court of appeal changed the sentence, assigning Yevgrafov five and a half years in a strict regime colony. Another case was brought against Yevgrafov - on the financing of terrorist activities due to the transfer of money to a participant of the Crimean Tatar volunteer battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhikhan. On 4 April 2024, he was sentenced, taking into account the previous sentence, to ten years in a strict regime colony.
