Case summary
A resident of Tolyatti. Since autumn 2022, she was running a blog in the Ukrainian language and making anti-war inscriptions on banknotes. In July 2023, it became known that a criminal case on preparation for high treason was opened against her and she was taken into custody. Later it was reported that Evtushenko is also charged with public justification of terrorism. In September 2023 it became known that Evtushenko was also charged with financing terrorism (part 1.1 of article 205.1 of the Criminal Code). In November it became known that Evtushenko was charged with calls to extremism (part 2 of article 280 of the Criminal Code). In March 2024, Evtushenko was charged in the final version: in addition to the above articles, there are also the dissemination of "fakes" about the Russian army with the motive of hatred (point "e" of part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code), public dissemination of information expressing blatant disrespect to society regarding the days of military glory and memorial dates in Russia's history related to the defence of the Fatherland (part 4 of article 354.1 of the Criminal Code). In May, she was sent to a punishment cell for not switching off the TV set in time. On 6 March 2026, Evtushenko was sentenced to 14 years in a general regime penal colony.
