Case summary
A sociologist. In December 2023, he was included in the register of "foreign agents". On 30 June 2025, a case was initiated against him for evasion of the duties of a "foreign agent". On 22 September another case was initiated against him for dissemination of knowingly false information about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (because of the publication about the crimes of the Russian military in Bucha) and participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation (because of an interview in which he, according to the investigation, promoted the activities of the "Russian Volunteer Corps", and a post in a Telegram with information about fundraising for the Legion of Freedom of Russia). The cases were merged.
In addition, Eidman is on trial for the activities of a terrorist community in connection with his involvement in the activities of the Free Russia Forum.
