Case summary

In March 2016, he was detained after a search and arrested the next day on charges of participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation. On 19 January 2018, he was found guilty and sentenced to seven years' imprisonment in a general regime colony. He was released in March 2023.

In October 2014, he was also detained after a search in another case of alleged Hizb ut-Tahrir members in Tatarstan, but was apparently released.
