According to the investigation, when answering the students' question why they would not go to the competition in Europe, she expressed her position on the war. The indictment states that Gen "provided to the students inaccurate information that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation seize the territories of other states, started the war in 2014 in "LNR" and "DNR", bombed a maternity hospital in Mariupol, planned to overthrow the President of Ukraine V.A. Zelensky, shot down a foreign country's plane - Boeing-777, belonging to Malaysia, from the territory of Ukraine, are engaged in annexation, seizure of other people's territories and expansion of their own territories".

Full summary
Since 2011, she taught English at the Olympic Reserve School in Penza. According to the investigation, when answering the students' question why they would not go to competitions in Europe, she expressed her position on the war. One of the students recorded the conversation on a voice recorder and sent it to law enforcement agencies. The indictment states that Gen "informed the pupils with inaccurate information that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are seizing the territories of other states, started the war in 2014 in "LNR" and "DNR", bombed a maternity hospital in Mariupol, planned to overthrow the President of Ukraine V.A. Zelensky, being on the territory of Ukraine, shot down a foreign state aircraft - Boeing-777 belonging to Malaysia, are engaged in annexation, seizure of other people's territories and expansion of their own territories". The teacher gave a confession, but later retracted it. Gen was given a recognisance not to leave the country. She wrote an application for dismissal at her own request on April 1st, 2022. She claims that the management did not insist on it and even wished her good luck in court. Gen gave a confession but later retracted it. On August 3rd, 2022, she was sentenced to five years' suspended sentence.
