Case summary
Deputy of the Omsk City Council. In September 2021 he was arrested for 10 days for disobeying the police at a polling station under part 1 of article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences. In October Petrenko was expelled from the CPRF. On 10 August it became known that he did not appear at the preliminary hearings on his case. He was put on a wanted list and arrested in absentia. On 30 July 2024, he was sentenced in absentia to 7 years in a general regime colony with a 4-year ban on administering websites.
