Case summary

Resident of Crimea. On 17 February 2021, was detained and taken into custody on the same day on charges of participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation. He was accused of involvement in the Islamic party "Hizb ut-Tahrir". Human rights defenders believe that the banning of this party as a terrorist organisation had no grounds. On 8 July 2022, Ibragimov was sentenced to 13 years in a strict-regime penal colony.
