Case summary

In December 2016, taken into custody along with 11 other people in connection with alleged involvement in the Islamist party Hizb ut-Tahrir, unrelated to terrorism. On February 15, 2019, sentenced to 16 years in a strict regime colony.

In 2020, a case of public justification of terrorism was brought against Igamberdyev: according to the investigation, in 2017, while in the Moscow pre-trial detention center Butyrka, while talking to his cellmates, he allegedly gave a speech about the justification of activities of terrorists. On September 28, 2021, he was sentenced to three years. Taking into account the previous sentence, his prison term is 17 and a half years in a strict regime colony.
