Case summary
Resident of Orenburg, administrator of the club Pose. In early March 2024, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and OMON conducted a raid in the club, the video of which was posted by members of the pro-government movement "Russian Community of Orenburg". Visitors to the club were humiliated in the video and asked what they were doing in a "fag club". Also "Russian Community" stated that 20 people were forced to write statements about "illegal activities" of the institution. The administrator was detained and released from the police department only in the middle of the next day, forbidden to leave Orenburg. On 18 March she was summoned to an investigator, after which she was detained and taken into custody on 20 March on charges of organising the activities of an extremist organisation, "an international LGBT social movement". It is alleged that she "videotaped the events".
