Case summary
He worked as an art teacher in Dankov (Lipetsk region). According to him, he was dismissed because he expressed his attitude to events through drawings in a local propaganda newspaper, which he was mandatorily provided with at school. In addition, he claims that the school authorities forwarded the newspaper with his drawings to the FSB and told them that he was "interested in explosives". The school principal then asked Kluku to come "to sort out the papers". On the way to the school, he was attacked - as he himself describes it, "with his face in the snow, a bag over his head, then a basement in an unknown place." FSB officers found money transfers in Klyuka's phone to his brother, who lives in Luhansk: Klyuka believed that the money was going to charity. According to the investigation, on October 18, 2022, he exchanged 20 thousand rubles for cryptocurrency and transferred it to the electronic wallet of the former Azov battalion, recognised as a terrorist organisation, which became part of the regular units of the AFU. According to Klyuka, he was forced to give a confession. Since February 2023, Klyuka has been in custody. Later it became known that he was accused not only of financing terrorism but also of high treason. On 19 June 2024, Klyuka was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment in a strict regime colony.
