Против него возбудили дело о хулиганстве и применении насилия к представителям власти: по версии следствия, вместе с другим преследуемым, Кириллом Кудриным, он бросил учебную гранату и дымовую шашку в бойцов ОМОН на акции 23 января 2021 года в поддержку Алексея Навального. 27 августа 2021 года Конькова приговорили к десяти месяцам колонии-поселении. Предположительно, в 2022 году он вышел на свободу.
