Case summary

Detained in April 2017, accused of using violence against a riot policeman: according to the investigation, he grabbed him by the arm, which caused pain. He gave a confession, agreed to a special consideration of the case, as he expected a suspended sentence. At the same time, he told the lawyer that he was only protecting an elderly man, whom they were trying to detain. On 18 May, the court sentenced him to eight months in an open prison. On 1 December Kuliy was released.
