Case summary
On 19 May 2023, large-scale searches took place in Perm in the homes of local human rights activists and members of the board of directors of the Centre for Historical Memory, organisation that became the succession to the human rights organisation Memorial. It became known that a case of attempted smuggling of cultural property had been initiated against Latypov. Latypov has since left Russia.
